Cope Construction is a locally owned, and full service heavy civil construction company providing Southwestern Ontario and Lambton County’s petrochemical industry with roads, asphalt, sewers, water mains, site servicing, bridges, concrete structures, and site maintenance.
To provide a sustainable future for our community.
Cope can trace its humble beginnings to A. Cope and Sons Ltd Contractors who began building municipal and industrial infrastructure in the 1890’s in both Sarnia and Hamilton. In the 1930’s, Cope completed the first phases of the QEW, Hwy 402, and also Hwy 40. Also in the early 1900’s, Cope played a key role in the construction of the Canadian Oil Refinery, now known as Imperial Oil. Cope has been shaping Sarnia-Lambton since the turn of the century and throughout the many years, it has remained a familiar site on roadways and construction sites.
